Why act on water ?

is often treated as an operational problem and lacks strategic anchoring

suffers from weak and poorly implemented local, global and organisational governance

is undervalued and underfinanced.

By helping shape water-related strategies and solutions, implement sound water stewardship practices and initiate collective action, we can address the world’s most pressing challenges and drive meaningful, lasting change.

Water is synonym for movement and change

Water is a catalyst for positive change.

Water security is key to reversing biodiversity loss, enabling climate adaptation, upholding human rights and fostering social and economic resilience.

Yet, water challenges are at a tipping point, leading to increasing water-related financial, physical, reputational and regulatory risks for public and private organisations alike.

Today, water:

" The secret of change is to focus all of your energy,
not on fighting the old but on building the new."

Our team

We are Tatiana and Lucie, two impact-driven “aquapreneurs”, connected by our passion for water and our commitment to ignite it in others.

We founded LeafTurtle in 2024 as we felt it was time to embrace a new energy. We strongly believe that systemic change can only happen if we address it collectively, with courage, humility and trust.

Our calling is to listen to the whispers of water to translate its story for the world to hear. We strive to build bridges where currents divide, to share knowledge like rivers join flows, and to empower those who navigate the tides.

What we bring to the table:

  • Passion and integrity

  • 30 years of cumulated experience with large businesses, SMEs, governments, NGOs and the United Nations

  • Extensive water stewardship expertise directly applied to guide over 50 organisations

  • Thorough knowledge of global water- and nature-related impact and risk assessment, target-setting, strategy and implementation frameworks and tools

  • Strong skills in stakeholder engagement, strategy design and implementation, intercultural communication, change management, workshop and training facilitation

Tortue de mer

Why a turtle ?

Like water, turtles carry different meanings, values and powers across different cultures and contexts. Often linked to Mother Nature, they are seen as the foundation of all natural things.

With their shells on their back, turtles are a universal symbol of protection, referring to stability, adaptation and survival. Yet, they also represent perseverance, courage and harmony — moving forward through challenges with quiet determination, guided by intuition and wisdom.

As endangered species, leaf turtles serve as a powerful reminder of the fragility of our world and the urgency of our work.
